International Day of People with Disabilities

A celebration of inclusion, connection and belonging. Our annual IDPwD event brings the Horowhenua community together for creativity, music, hauora, adaptive recreation, sensory experiences, kai and plenty of fun. Shaped by people with lived experience, it’s a day to celebrate ability, build connections and create a community where everyone can thrive.

Christmas Story by Candlelight

Join us for a beautiful Candlelit Christmas Celebration filled with story, song and light. Enjoy much-loved Christmas carols led by talented HYPE Youth, alongside stories reminding us of the wonder, hope and joy of Christmas. Come with family, friends, or on your own and enjoy a peaceful, welcoming evening of community, reflection and Christmas spirit.

Free weekly sessions every Tuesday, 10am–12pm, supporting people with disabilities through connection, confidence, choice, supported decision-making, and meaningful community participation, in partnership with CCS Disability

Community Meal

Free weekly Sunday dinners, 6pm, offering a warm and welcoming two-course nutritious meal, good company, and connection. Everyone is welcome at our table.

YARN

Free social group on the second Friday of every month, 10am, for knitting, crochet, book swapping, sharing yarn, learning new skills, and enjoying good company.

Opportunity Shop

Open weekdays 10am–3pm at 121 Oxford Street, offering wonderful pre-loved treasures and affordable finds while supporting local community programmes, outreach, and church initiatives.

Manaaki Crew

Weekly Fridays, 11:30am–1pm. Everyone is welcome at our Manaaki Crew for brunch, movies, crafts, conversation, friendship, and preparing vegetables for our Sunday evening meal. Come along, have fun, connect, and share your gifts with the community.

Levin Monthly Markets

Monthly Indoor Market on the first Saturday, 8:30am–12pm, bringing the community together to browse local stalls, discover treasures, support local makers, and enjoy good company. New stallholders are always welcome!
